The residents of Usmanabad, Ahmadnagar and its adjoining areas near Soura (90-feet road) today said they have been badly hit by the traffic diversion enforced by the R&B department in view of construction of a road in the area.

They urged upon the authorities to allow at least half of the traffic movement through the areas where traffic has been debarred. The people of these areas threatened to stage protests if the authorities don't immediately relax the traffic diversion plan. “The traffic diversion is hampering movement of ambulances to SKIMS Soura. This can prove detrimental to patients in case of emergency,” a group of aggrieved residents said.

The residents sought the immediate intervention of R&B minister and chief engineer R&B Kashmir.
