Ansari declares open inter-district football tourney at TRC

Terming youth an engine which can propel societies forward, minister for Youth Services & Sports Imran Raza Ansari today advocated that youth be exposed to different cultures to create a platform for the exchange of ideas.

He made these remarks while inaugurating the inter-district football tournament which is being organized by CRPF. Minister said that "Youth are an engine to take the vehicle of family, society or nation forward. Youth are a great promise to each nation and additional efforts need to be made to expose them to their immediate surroundings and realities," he said.

To exploit the potential of youth, he advised parents and sports associations to "give way to youth to express, to develop skills, to build competency and to gain confidence, because investment in youth is insurance for future," he added.

Minister praised the CRPF for organizing such type of events in the valley under civic action programme.

On the occasion, IG CRPF Ravideep Sahi said that CRPF is trying to organize extracurricular activities for local youth to develop their overall personality so that they will show their talent in national and international level.

Meanwhile, Minister felicitated Sheikh Umer and Huzaib Yaqoob who had won Bronze medals at recently held International Taekwondo Championship at Bangkok, Thailand.
