District Police Srinagar sponsored "7th J&K State Games of the Deaf" kick-started on Thursday at Gindun Sports Stadium, Rajbagh. 

The games being conducted under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of J&K Police, are endeavoured to motivate and encourage specially-abled children to groom their sporting talent. 

The event was inaugurated by SSP Srinagar, Imtiaz Ismail Parray-IPS, accompanied by SP City South, Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS & SDPO Sadder, Sudhanshu Verma-IPS. 

Around 300 children from across the state are participating in the event. General public has praised the efforts of J&K Police in conducting such Civic Action programmes.
