Residents of Siyalan village of Surankote on Tuesday demanded proper road connectivity in their area, while castigating successive leadership for failing to fulfill their age-old demand.

The villagers said, “Siyalan village is one of the thickly populated villages in the entire tehsil and hundreds of people are being deprived of proper road connectivity.”

Locals of the area, including Mohammad Farooq Chowdhary, Abdul Majeed Sheikh, Mushtaq Malik and Chowdhary Talib Hussain said that their demand for construction of road is an old one, but “the authorities keep on ignoring it.”

"We are living in the 21st century with no roads in our area. Our life is hard while the concerned authorities do not care,” they said.

The locals urged the Governor administration to initiate action and mitigate their problem.
