Kathua- Rasana case: College students, religious scholars stage protest

The protesters also lambasted some elements for trying to give a communal color to the case. The people also showed their resentment against Bar Jammu as well as advocates from Kathua.

Students of the local Government Degree College and some local religious scholars on Monday staged a joint protest demonstration over Rasana case and demanded a fast track court trial in the case.

The protest was started by college students, who took out a rally which was later joined by local religious scholars. The rally moved through main market and later on, the protesters assembled at main bus stand chowk. They raised slogans over their demand for fast track court trial, besides stern punishment to the accused.

The protesters also lambasted some elements for trying to give a communal color to the case. The people also showed their resentment against Bar Jammu as well as advocates from Kathua.  

Administrator Auqaf Abdul Qayoom Dar,  Moulana Mufti Dr Abdul Rashid Qadir, Moulana Mohammed Hanif Raza, Hafiz Hussain Qadri,  Mohammed Azeem, Qari Manzoor and Hafiz Abdul Quyoom were part of the protest.
