Jammu and Kashmir: India, Pakistan trade fire along LoC in Poonch

An official said that the exchange of fire began at 2:45 pm in Degwar and Malti sectors of the district.

The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday traded heavy fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
 
An official said that the exchange of fire began at 2:45 pm in Degwar and Malti sectors of the district.
 
“Pakistan army opened fire on Indian positions at 14:45 hours with automatics and resorted to mortar shelling,” he said, adding that Indian troops retaliated effectively and strongly.
 
There was no immediate report of any losses.
