Sources added that many a times, health authorities sent request for providing ELISA kits to district hospital Rajouri to make ELISA reader functional but nothing has been done from higher quarters leaving locals high and dry.

Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of Rajouri District Hospital, in an official statement, said that he has taken the matter related to supply of ELISA kits with state Malarialogist and the request has been sent for *IgM KITS* for conducting preliminary testing on suspected patients with signs and symptoms of Dengue.

" I have placed order for ELISA Kit to a private firm which are expected to be received on Monday, then the ELISA reader will be made functional and the ELISA testing will be started on  dengue cases having IgM postive results." Medical Superintendent adds.

He also claimed that a separate ward has been established to manage dengue patients, sufficient IEC material has also been displayed and patients attendants and other visitors coming to the hospital are being sensitized regarding the prevention of the disease.
