Rajouri Police arrested an army jawan on charges of murdering his wife a few days back in Mohra Fagla of Argi village of Rajouri.

Jawan has been identified as Abdul Jabir son of Chiri Mohd resident of Mohra Fagla in Argi village of Rajouri. 

The said jawan was on leave since last many days. 

Police officer said that incident took place on the intervening night of 12-13 August when a young married girl namely Shamshad Begum was found dead inside the house of husband's brother and on 13th morning, police was informed that body of married girl was lying in the house. 

The police team reached the spot and shifted the body to district hospital Rajouri where post mortem was conducted. 

"Police team headed by DySP HQrs Rajouri Jaswant Singh started investigation of mysterious death under CrPC 174, and during questioning, deceased's husband disclosed that some verbal duel took place between them on the intervening night of 12-13 August after which he beat his wife and tied her neck with a Dupatta (cloth piece) resulting in her death," police said. 

A case FIR 362/2017 US 302 RPC has been registered in Rajouri Police Station and Abdul Jabbir son of Chiri Mohd, a serving army jawan, has been arrested, police officer said.
