ADC Post in Nowshera| Day 3: Nowsherabandh continues protest

The ongoing indefinite bandh in Nowshera entered into its third consecutive day on Sunday, with normal life being badly affected by the strike.

According to reports, all business establishments of the area remained closed and the market wore a deserted look.

The locals took out a protest rally from main market and raised anti-government slogans, alleging that the government is ignoring the demands of the inhabitants of Nowshera. They said that the government has kept on announcing new administrative units purely on the basis of its own political benefits, while genuine areas remain deprived.

The locals said that the bandh will continue till their demand for an ADC post in Nowshera is met.

Sunderbani people warn of agitation

Amid the ongoing protest in Nowshera for the sanction of an Additional Deputy Commissioner post in Nowshera, the locals of Sunderbani decided on Sunday to launch an indefinite agitation within the next few days.

Sources informed that people from Sunderbani held a meeting on Saturday, wherein all the members unanimously decided to launch an agitation for the sanction of an ADC post in Sunderbani. “The date for the start of the agitation is being decided,” said locals.
