Around 82.62 percent voter turnout was recorded in the second phase of panchayat elections in four blocks of Pir Panjal region, an official said.

The voting under second phase was held in Lamberi and Siot blocks of Rajouri district and Mandi and Loran blocks of Poonch district.

Details available with Greater Kashmir revealed that in Lamberi block, 83.75 percent voter turnout was recorded, while in Siot block, it was 83.41 percent. The overall poll percentage in the district was recorded at 83.54 percent.

Meanwhile, in Mandi block of Poonch district, 83 percent voter turnout was recorded, while in Loran block, it was 80 percent.

"No untoward incident was reported on the day,” an official said.
