300 students sit for Jawadiah Project Care exam

At four centres in different locations of Kargil district, 300 candidates participated in the test. Out of them, 20 candidates will be selected after three phases of selection procedure in class 7th.

Jawadiah Project Care, Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil, which provides free quality education to the under privileged children in the country, conducted the Entrance Examination for Ennoblement of Students under to select 20 poor and underprivileged students.

At four centres in different locations of Kargil district, 300 candidates participated in the test. Out of them, 20 candidates will be selected after three phases of selection procedure in class 7th.

Dr Kacho Jaffer Khan, Project Director Jawadiah Project Care, told the media that the selection process will have written test, which is concluded today, social survey and later an interview. The best eligible candidate will be selected for the second phase.

He said the project was started in April 2013 under the supervision of the Anjuman Jamiat-ul-Ulama Asna Asharia Kargil with the objective to provide free quality education to the children of the poor and underprivileged families. In the first phase, 20 students were selected after an extensive selection process (screening and interview) and social survey throughout the district so that the poor and deserving children’s may get benefitted. 

He said these students will get free education up to post-graduate level and will be provided coaching for competitive exams. He said the main source of funding of the Jawadiah Project Care is voluntary donation by public on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Eighteen 18 students of the first phase are now studying in class 12 and have been performing well.
