Traffic movement was affected on Srinagar-Baramulla highway on Saturday after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered near HMT in Srinagar.

Reports said that Jammu and Kashmir Police, 2 RR of army and Bomb Disposal squad have reached at the spot.

A senior police official said that CRPF troopers of 44 Bn recovered the explosive device on a roadside. “The IED was defused by the bomb disposal squad without causing any damage," he said.
