The Srinagar district administration has decided to impose restrictions in the territorial jurisdiction of seven police stations in downtown Srinagar tomorrow. Train service between Banihal and Baramulla will also remain suspended tomorrow.

According to the District Magistrate Srinagar, restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC will remain in force under the jurisdictions of Police Stations Nowhatta, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Khanyar, Safakadal, and partially in Kralkhud and Maisuma on January 13.

He said restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident.

The restrictions shall not be applicable to government employees, universities, essential services like banks or those taking or invigilating exams.

Meanwhile, authorities also directed the suspension of train service between Baramulla and Banihal tomorrow.

Pertinently, Joint Resistance Leadership has called for shutdown tomorrow against civilian killings in Kashmir.
