Police to withdraw FIRs against 623 youth in B'pora

During the programme, it was announced that the process for the withdrawal of cases against 623 persons has been initiated.

Police today said they would withdraw cases against 623 persons involved in 102 cases in Bandipora district under the amnesty programme recently announced by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

"Around 102 cases were registered from the year 2010 to 2014 against over 623 persons which will be withdrawn while the cases lodged after 2014 shall only be decided after the government nod," police said during a special interactive programme held at Bandipora police station.

During the programme, it was announced that the process for the withdrawal of cases against 623 persons has been initiated. 

"The cases registered from the year 2010 to 2014 will be withdrawn in the first instance while cases lodged after 2014 will be withdrawn in the second phase," the police said.

The process for withdrawal of cases has been initiated under Chief Minister’s Amnesty programme. GKNN
