Kangan shuts on second straight day against youth’s killing

Amir Hamid Lone (22) of Chatergul Kangan, a second year student of Degree college Ganderbal who after receiving critical injuries in the clashes with government forces on April 3 this month succumbed nearly two weeks after battling with life at SKIMS on Sunday.

A complete shutdown is being observed in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on second consecutive day today against the killing of a local youth.

Amir Hamid Lone (22) of Chatergul Kangan, a second year student of Degree college Ganderbal who after receiving critical injuries in the clashes with government forces on April 3 this month succumbed nearly two weeks after battling with life at SKIMS on Sunday.

Clashes had erupted in Kangan on the day against the killing of another youth, Gowhar Ahmad Rather of Jamia market Kangan.
