Houses of 2 PDP workers ransacked in Tral, Shopian

Suspected militants ransacked the house of ruling PDP worker at Dardsara Village of Tral Township in Pulwama district on Saturday.

An official said that at around 8:15 pm “militants barged into the house of PDP zonal president Peer Muhammad Ashraf at Dardsara village and vandalized his house. At the time of the incident, he was not at home. Militants also fired aerial gun shots and escaped.”

“We were watching TV when suddenly few gunmen barged into our house and vandalized the property,” said a close relative of Peer.

Soon after the incident, forces rushed to the spot and conducted searches to nab the militants.

Meanwhile, suspected militants ransacked the house of a PDP worker in Wachi Shopian this evening.

Reports said that some gunmen entered the residential house of PDP worker Fayaz Ahmad Mir son of Habibullah resident of Wachi Shopian and damaged windows of his house.

“Gunmen thrashed Fayaz before leaving,” reports said. However no official responded for comments on the incident.
