The activist of Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) here on Wednesday held protest against rise in prices of petrol and diesel.

The protest was led by JKNPP zonal president, Neeraj Gupta.

The protesters were pushing motor cycle and scooter with their hands to express their disagreement with the Centre Government over price rise in fuel products.

Gupta in his address said that the continuous hike in prices of diesel and petrol has broken the back bone of the common person.  He said government is diverting the attention of the people by raising the issues like Swachh Bharat Mission and many others.

Gupta said before Modi led BJP came in power the cost of LPG cylinder was Rs 414while as the cost of petrol and diesel was Rs 61 and Rs 55 respectively, but in the present day the cost of LPG cylinder is almost double while as the cost of petrol and diesel was hiked by almost 18 to 20 % which directly affects the cost of all other daily use items.

He said , “If these are the so called Achhe Din as promised by prime minister Narinder Modi then we wish we could get back our ‘bad days’ when we can have a stress free sleep at night.”

Gupta said that if Modi led BJP government has no policy to control the prices of essential commodities then they have no right to sit in power.

Sonu, Parmjeet Singh, Amar Chand, Ramesh Kumar, Tarsem, Simranjeet Singh, Suneel, Balbir and Sanjay also took part in protest.
