Four persons, including two women and an infant, died and 16 others were wounded in separate road accidents in Jammu region on Tuesday, officials said.

Police said two persons died and fourteen others sustained injuries when a bus coming from Ramnagar to Gordi fell in a deep gorge in Udhampur district this evening. In the mishap two persons identified as Sukhram of village Virnoo and Pushpa Devi of Chowki Jindord died on the spot, while 14 others sustained injuries. The injured were hospitalized. 

In another accident a woman and an infant died, while two others were injured, when a car they were travelling in plunged into a deep nallah near Muthi (Sangrampur), Jammu, late last night. 

A police official said that a car, (No. JK02BF-8535) having four members of a family on board plunged into a deep nallah near Sangrampur, Muthi,. The ill-fated car was coming from Gajansoo to Muthi. 

The deceased were identified as Preeti Devi, 32 and a one year old Guglu, residents of Roop Nagar Jammu. The injured are undergoing treatment in a hospital.
