The State unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) here on Wednesday said that it will hold two Dharam Sabhas in Jammu division to garner the support of the Hindu community for the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing media men here at VHP office, the VHP state president, Leela Karan Sharma said a grand Dharam Sabha would be held on December 16 at old city’s Parade Chowk area where community Sants, Ramanand Ji Maharaj, Hansdevacharaya Ji Maharaj and other religious saints would address the Hindu community members of the region.

He said, “Another Dharam Sabha would be held at Bhaderwah on December 9. I request the people of Jammu to participate in these events and show to the world that Jammu too wants Ram Temple in Ayodhya.”

Sharma said that Hindu community has been agitating for the construction of the temple “since 1528” and in its attempts, it held several discussions with other community members “but all our efforts to convince the other community failed.”
