A special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police ran way from a police station along with an AK-47 rifle in Marwah tehsil of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday night, police said.

Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range Basant Kumar Rath said they are on job to get him back. 

He said the SPO, identified as Mohammad Yaseen, deserted Marwah police station Friday night along with his service rifle.

Yaseen is a resident of Shishnan village.
