Special Assistance Committee of JK Hoteliers Club urged state government to resolve issues confronting the hospitality sector.

As per the statement issued by the JKHC, first meeting SAC of Hoteliers club was held today under the chairmanship of Muhammad Afzal Parray.

The SAC was recently constituted in the AGM of J&K Hoteliers Club for the assistance of Hoteliers, Restaurants and Guest Houses of J&K.

In the meeting were present members of Special Assistance Committee along with the Chairman JKHC Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya and Secretary General Tariq Rashid Ghani in which various issues were put forth before the Committee.

SAC suggested immediate meeting of Sonmarg BOCA should be held as certain cases were approved earlier by BOCA but unfortunately letter for construction was not issued with the result people have to approach to High Court where the Court was pleased to issue order to concerned authorities of Sonmarg to issue the construction orders. Unfortunately the authorities has not implemented the court order as such Govt is requested court order should be implemented in latter and spirit.

The issue regarding STPs of Gulmarg Hoteliers was discussed and was informed to Pollution Control Board not to harass the Hoteliers of Gulmarg for running of STPs as the Hotels are with zero occupancy.

The repair and renovations of Boulevard Hotels should be given the priority as the Hoteliers need day to day up gradation of their Hotels/Establishments.

It was also discussed that Pahalgam Club should be made functional so that Tourists can enjoy the facilities of Pahalgam Club.
